They don't beat you fast — they rot you down, turn after turn, plague after plague, until there's nothing left to hold the line. Your army is slow, near-unkillable, and patient. But with plagues stacking on enemy units, contagion spreading, and toughness buffs piling up, a forgotten marker is an affliction that should have been eating away at them.

The Plague Guard Token Set is a 68-token army tracking system designed for resilient, attritional, plague-spreading forces in tabletop wargaming. It keeps your plagues, contagion auras, durability buffs and combat modifiers clearly visible — so every affliction you've inflicted keeps working while your army shrugs off the punishment.

Relentless on the table. Every plague tracked.

Built for Disease-Themed Armies

This is an army-specific tracking set. It covers the abilities and effects commonly used by tough, slow, plague-spreading armies, including:

    • Plague markers — the core affliction tokens you spread onto enemy units (10 included)
    • Plague effects — stacking debuffs that cut an enemy's hit rolls, saves, movement, leadership and objective control
    • Contagion auras — range markers that spread plagues, including "afflicted" auras and a "second plague within range" effect
    • Affliction interactions — "ignores cover vs afflicted", "afflicted by all plagues", and target-specific debuffs
    • Durability — toughness buffs (including a toughness aura), feel-no-pain tiers, and an "untargetable beyond 18 inches" marker
    • Combat modifiers — to-hit, attacks, strength, movement, critical and lethal hits, fight-first, plus "vs this unit" versions
    • Re-roll abilities — wounds and advance
    • Detection-range and command-point modifiers
    • Objective and status markers — sticky-objective holds, objective-control boosts, enhanced, slain, ability-available, and cover / no-advance auras

A full visual overview of every token is shown in the product images.

    Magnetic Storage Included

Each set comes in a dedicated magnetic storage box, designed to keep your tokens secure, organised, and protected during transport.

Fits perfectly in the left pocket of the Battlebox storage system, allowing you to integrate it into a modular setup.

    Custom Colours & Lid Design

Choose your token base and text colours from 28 available colours — match your army's scheme or create high-contrast clarity for the table.

Select a lid design — army-themed text or icon, border only, or add custom text.

    Transparency & Competitive Play

These are practical tracking tools, not decorative markers.

They exist to keep contagion ranges, damage reduction states, and layered attrition effects clearly visible to both players — reducing ambiguity and improving the flow of play.

    Who Is This For?

    • Players running disease-themed sci-fi armies who want structured rule tracking
    • Competitive players managing stacking plagues, contagion ranges, and durability buffs
    • New players learning a slow, resilient army built around afflictions and attrition
    • Clubs and groups looking for army-specific tracking solutions

    Rules Updates & Future Changes

Army rules evolve over time. This set is made for 11th edition and reflects commonly used abilities for this army archetype at the time of production. All products are made to order and designed, printed, and assembled in-house in Stockholm, Sweden. If meaningful rule changes occur, small add-on token packs are available rather than requiring a full replacement set.

    Designed to Work Together

The Plague Guard Token Set integrates seamlessly within the Tree of Tales ecosystem. Use the Universal Sci-Fi Token Set for shared core mechanics that apply across all armies, then use this set for your army's specific abilities and effects. Build your tracking system over time.
