Updated November 2025
Your army thrives on speed and the pursuit of perfection — bonuses that reward aggressive movement and stack through combat. But when you're tracking resource effects, combat bonuses, and movement states across a fast-moving force, one forgotten marker means damage you earned but never rolled.
The Children of Excess Token Set is a 79-token army tracking system designed for speed-obsessed, perfection-driven forces in tabletop wargaming. It keeps pact points, dark prince pledges, poisoned effects, and combat enhancements clearly visible — so you can focus on executing every move flawlessly. This set includes double-sided tokens (Sustained Hits 1 / Lethal Hits) for flexible tracking with fewer pieces.
Perfection in motion. Every detail tracked.
Built for Perfection-Obsessed Armies
This is an army-specific tracking set.
It covers mechanics commonly associated with fast, speed-driven, perfection-obsessed armies, including:
- Dark prince pledge and pact point trackers
- Movement state markers (fell back, advanced)
- Poisoned attack markers
- Combat hit, wound, AP, strength, and damage enhancements
- Critical hit and critical wound markers (5+ and 3+)
- Re-roll abilities (hits, wounds, charges, melee-specific)
- Defensive save, FNP, and damage reduction effects
- Aura effects (leadership tests, AP on charge)
- Movement and charge modifiers
- Objective control markers
A full visual overview of every token is shown in the product images.
Magnetic Storage Included
Each set comes in a dedicated magnetic storage box, designed to keep your tokens secure, organised, and protected during transport.
Fits perfectly in the left pocket of the Battlebox storage system, allowing you to integrate it into a modular setup.
Custom Colours & Lid Design
Choose your token base and text colours from 28 available colours — match your army's scheme or create high-contrast clarity for the table.
Select a lid design — army-themed text or icon, border only, or add custom text.
Transparency & Competitive Play
These are practical tracking tools, not decorative markers.
They exist to keep pact resources, pledge effects, and layered combat bonuses clearly visible to both players — reducing ambiguity and improving the flow of play.
Who Is This For?
- Players running perfection-obsessed armies who want structured rule tracking
- Competitive players managing pact points, pledge states, and stacking combat effects
- New players learning a fast army with many interlocking resource and movement mechanics
- Clubs and groups looking for army-specific tracking solutions
Rules Updates & Future Changes
Army rules evolve over time. This set reflects commonly used perfection-obsessed faction mechanics at the time of production.
All products are made to order and designed, printed, and assembled in-house in Stockholm, Sweden. If meaningful rule changes occur, small add-on token packs are available rather than requiring a full replacement set.
Designed to Work Together
The Children of Excess Token Set integrates seamlessly within the Tree of Tales ecosystem.
Use the Universal Sci-Fi Token Set for shared core mechanics that apply across all armies. Use this set for your army's specific abilities and effects. Add the Mission Token Set for objective and terrain tracking.
Build your tracking system over time.
