Marking Deployment Zones with Dice? There's a Better Way

Dice work in a pinch, but dedicated markers make deployment faster, clearer, and more precise — especially circular zones where you'd normally be tracing a 9″ radius by hand.

The Deployment Zone Markers Single Set gives you 10 markers that make deployment setup fast and clear. Straight markers define your boundary lines. Curved markers handle rounded zones instantly. A magnetic storage box keeps everything together between games.

Clear boundaries. Straight into the game.

What's in the Single Set

10 markers for one player's deployment zone.

8 straight markers (100 × 12 × 3 mm) for standard deployment zone boundaries. 2 curved markers (175 × 28 × 3 mm) designed to match a standard 9″ radius for rounded deployment zones.

All 10 markers fit inside a dedicated magnetic storage box with a secure lid.

Why Markers Instead of Dice

Dice mark a point. Markers define a line.

With markers, the deployment zone boundary is clearly visible the moment you lay them down — no estimating where the edge falls between scattered dice. The curved markers are especially useful: they match the 9″ radius exactly, turning circular zones from a tape-measure task into a two-second placement.

Faster setup, clearer zones, less fiddling before turn one.

Compact and Precise

The straight markers measure 100 mm and the curved markers 175 mm — small enough to fit between terrain pieces on dense boards without interfering with model placement.

Once deployment is done, pack them back in the box or leave them on the table for reference — they're unobtrusive either way.

Magnetic Storage Included

Each set comes in a dedicated magnetic storage box. The lid clicks shut with embedded magnets, keeping all 10 markers secure during transport.

The box fits in the left pocket of the Battlebox, integrating into a single modular carry system.

Custom Colours

Choose your marker base colour and text colour from 28 available options, plus box base colour and lid text colour. Match your army scheme, create high-contrast visibility, or personalise your setup.

Each set is made to order in our workshop in Stockholm, Sweden.

Need Coverage for Both Players?

The single set covers one player's deployment zone. If you want full coverage for both sides of the table, the Deployment Zone Markers Double Set includes 16 straight and 4 curved markers — enough for two players in the same game.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many markers are in the single set?

10 total — 8 straight markers (100 × 12 × 3 mm) and 2 curved markers (175 × 28 × 3 mm). This covers one player's deployment zone.

What are the curved markers for?

The curved markers match a standard 9″ radius, used in many common rounded deployment zone layouts. They handle corner and circular boundary sections where straight markers don't fit.

Do the markers get in the way during deployment?

No. The markers sit flat on the mat and fit between terrain pieces, even on dense boards. Once deployment is done, pack them away or leave them on the table for reference.

Does it include a storage box?

Yes. Each set comes in a dedicated magnetic storage box with a secure lid. The box fits inside a gaming bag or in the left pocket of the Battlebox.

Can I customise the colours?

Yes. Choose your marker base colour and text colour from 28 available options, plus box base colour and lid text colour.

Is this enough for two players?

The single set covers one player's deployment zone. For both players, see the Double Set which includes 16 straight and 4 curved markers.

Is it better than using dice to mark deployment zones?

Markers define a continuous visible boundary rather than scattered reference points — so the deployment zone is clear the moment you lay them down. The curved markers are especially useful for circular zones, matching the 9-inch radius exactly. It's just faster and easier than measuring with dice.
