Marking Deployment Zones with Dice? There's a Better Way
Dice are fine for a quick casual game, but dedicated markers make deployment faster, clearer, and more precise — especially circular zones where you'd normally be tracing a 9″ radius with a tape measure.
The Deployment Zone Markers Double Set gives both players a fast, clear way to mark deployment boundaries. Straight markers define boundary lines. Curved markers handle rounded zones instantly. A magnetic storage box keeps everything together between games.
Fast setup. Clear boundaries. Straight into the game.
What's in the Double Set
This is a complete two-player deployment zone marking system.
16 straight markers (100 × 12 × 3 mm) for standard deployment zone boundaries. 4 curved markers (175 × 28 × 3 mm) designed to match a standard 9″ radius for rounded deployment zones.
All 20 markers fit inside a dedicated magnetic storage box with a secure lid — compact enough to slip into a gaming bag or fit inside a Battlebox.
Why Markers Instead of Dice
Dice mark a point. Markers define a line.
With markers, the deployment zone boundary is clearly visible the moment you lay them down — no estimating where the edge falls between scattered dice. The curved markers are especially useful: they match the 9″ radius exactly, so circular deployment zones that normally take a tape measure and guesswork are marked in seconds.
It's just faster and easier. Lay down the markers, see the zone, start deploying.
Built for Every Deployment Layout
The double set covers standard, offset, and angled deployment zones. The straight markers handle clean boundary lines, while the curved markers match the 9″ radius used in many common mission formats.
The compact marker size (100 mm straight, 175 mm curved) means they fit between terrain pieces without interfering with model placement — even on dense boards. Once deployment is done, pack them back in the box or leave them on the table for reference if you prefer.
Magnetic Storage Included
Each set comes in a dedicated magnetic storage box. The lid clicks shut with embedded magnets, keeping all 20 markers secure during transport.
The box fits in the left pocket of the Battlebox, so you can integrate it into a single modular carry system alongside your dice, tokens, and tools.
Custom Colours — One for Each Player
The double set lets you choose separate colour schemes for each player's markers, so deployment zones are instantly distinguishable on the table.
For each set, pick a base colour and text colour from 28 available options. You also choose the box base colour and lid text colour separately.
Match your army schemes, pick high-contrast colours for maximum visibility, or go with classic combinations like black/gold and white/black. Each set is made to order in our workshop in Stockholm, Sweden.
The Battlebox — Modular dice and accessory organizer that holds marker sets internally
Wound Markers — Dice-slot damage counters for unit tracking

Frequently Asked Questions
How many markers are in the double set?
20 total — 16 straight markers (100 × 12 × 3 mm) and 4 curved markers (175 × 28 × 3 mm). This is enough to mark deployment zones for both players.
What are the curved markers for?
The curved markers match a standard 9″ radius, used in many common rounded deployment zone layouts. They handle corner and circular boundary sections where straight markers don't fit.
Do the markers get in the way during deployment?
No. The markers are designed to sit flat on the mat and fit between terrain pieces. They're compact enough to work on dense boards without interfering with model placement.
Does it include a storage box?
Yes. Each set comes in a dedicated magnetic storage box with a secure lid. The box is compact enough to fit inside a gaming bag or in the left pocket of the Battlebox.
Can I customise the colours?
Yes. The double set lets you choose separate colour schemes for each player's markers — base colour and text colour for each set, plus box base colour and lid text colour. All chosen from 28 available options.
Is this enough for two players?
Yes. The double set includes enough markers for both players to fully mark their deployment zones in the same game.
Is it better than using dice to mark deployment zones?
Markers define a continuous visible boundary rather than scattered reference points — so the deployment zone is clear the moment you lay them down. The curved markers are especially useful for circular zones, matching the 9-inch radius exactly. It's just faster and easier than measuring with dice.

The product was not the same as the picture. It was suppose to have tokens for "observer", "guided" and "spotted", instead it had generic tokens. I decided to keep it, since the delivery took a long time, but I do not recommend buying this.
Exactly what I needed to help me remember bonuses and special rule benefits during the game. Magnetized top was a fantastic idea and keeps everything secure. Graphics on the top are great and was a conversation starter for sure. Thanks.
These are so great. We love them because it means you can lay out distances without a long tape measure, as well as being much more practical for small hands and showing distance visually. So good!!
Custom service is impressive with direct msg and clear info about how to customize it. Everything was well done and the product is amazing. One feedback to make it better, on the skirmish edition, the token slot for the kill team rectangular token (engage/conceal etc) are like 1mm too small, so the original cardboard token cannot fit correctly. Hope to help
A great case that holds everything I will ever need for kill team! The side compartment I use for tokens and the under compartment I use for my equipment. Highly recommended!!
Extremely functional! But also very visible layer lines, and thus a reduction in detail, compared to other products I've received from Tree Of Tales. Still very happy with them!
Brilliant comms from TofT. The item is brilliant and just what I need for both home gaming and events. All my key gaming items fit and the dice organiser is great touch for speeding up my rolling. Can’t recommend enough. Thanks TofT!
